Summer School Fair

We are intending to run a summer fair again this year on Friday 1st July from 3.30 to 5.00 pm. We need lots of parents to volunteer to help set up and run tables and activities on the day and bake for the cake stall.  Each class has been assigned a stall and we will begin collecting names of parents to help on the day. Donations of toys and tombola gifts can be brought to school anytime. If you can help with the fair in any way please let the school office know or your child’s class teacher.

The year 6 class will be running some of their own stalls as in previous years as part of their Enterprise and team building work for the term. There is a competition between the teams as to who can raise the most money.

You can offer to support in any area, the class teacher for these classes are leading on these activities.

Summer Concerts

Lower Team Concert – We are the World (Nursery to Year 2)

  • Tuesday 12th July at 2.30pm
  • Wednesday 13th July at 9.15am

As the world gathers in Rio to celebrate the 2016 Olympic games, the children will use this opportunity to visit some of the participating countries, exploring some of their traditions and customs.

Admission to the concerts will be by ticket only. Tickets are free and will be available at Open Evening onwards. For health and safety we do have to restrict the number of people who attend the concerts. Please support us by getting your ticket before the event.

Upper Team Concert – The Wizard of Oz (Year 3 to Year 6)

  • Thursday 14th July at 9.15 am
  • Thursday 14th July at 7.00pm

Children in the upper team will be singing and acting their way through the story of Dorothy and friends in Petts Hill’s version of The Wizard of Oz.
Please note that we are expecting that parents will support us by sending their children back to school for an evening performance. This enables some parents to attend who would not usually be able to, as well as being a special event for the older children participating in an evening performance.

The children and teachers work hard on the end of term performances and I hope that all parents will be able to support us with this, even if they choose to see the daytime performance themselves.

Dates for your diary

Book Amnesty - Please search your cupboards and shelves for any Petts Hill Library or Reading Books and return them to the class or office before the end of this term. Thank you..
